  • Mindy T. says: We are at Stewart. We've been here for 4 months now and it was our first PCS from Campbell. Compared to Campbell we don't really care for it here. We live off post in Richmond Hill. We moved here mostly because of the good schools having a teenager and 1st grader.

  • Michelle T. says: You will love it! Beautiful! Ft Stewart is in Liberty County. You can look at Hinesville. If a drive is ok- look at Richmond Hill (Bryan County) Georgetown-which is Savannah (Chatham County). The latter two is closer to Hunter Army Airfield (HAAF). You can chk out the wife pages (hunter wives and stewart wives) and the ladies there post on wait time for housing list schools etc. Good luck with the PCS!

  • Mary S. says: We were there for our 1st duty station from 2004-2006 and loved it! First we lived off post in Walthourville then moved on post my husband didn't like the drive into work lol. We loved the area down there so much we plan on moving back that way when he retires.

  • Deborah J. says: Great group of spouses there! We (MilitaryAvenue.com) have traveled down two times to attend an Army Wife Network conference. Folks at Stewart like to be connected and the community stepped up and gave great prizes at conferences. Make it a priority to step a few steps out of your comfort zone and meet folks. On base functions are designed to keep you strong and united. Military life is so great that way! You will make friends on this first assignment that will stick with you for the career! Visit your chapel your gym your community center... and smile. It will get easier!

  • Brittany H. says: Been here a month; prefer cities a little more exciting and with less bugs. Haven't had problems with Fort Stewart just the long drives to do anything and weather isn't appealing.

  • Larisa H. says: We left Stewart in March. I loved it but prepare for the rain. The beach is like 45 minutes away and there's lots of stuff for kids...I would deff go back!
